Experience working with clay on the potter’s wheel! Couples, singles, and friends are welcome to enjoy the evening creating and sharing the joys of making art. Our skilled instructors will guide you through centering and shaping clay forms on the potter’s wheel, and then you will be set free to make your own creations. The evening ends with beer, wine and light hors d'oeuvres as we briefly review the night’s work.

Clay For A Day: FUN-damentals
In each of these one day summer classes, children will learn the FUN-damentals of clay while exploring color, shape and texture to create sculptural and functional pieces. Students will explore rolling a coil, pressing slabs and decorating their ceramic creations using glazes. Students can experience sculpting in clay from a live model in this one-day studio course. Class will consist of demonstrations of building techniques coupled with an introductory anatomical study. Explore figure proportion, human expression and body gesture. There will be class discussions on surface treatment for sculpture, including “cold finishing techniques” in to complete your sculpture.

Open Studio in August
Open Studio is an option for those with experience who want autonomous access to our classroom equipment and facilities. We require that you have some formal training or experience working in clay prior to your enrollment for these sessions. Individuals can pick and choose from 6 hour time slots within the first weekend of August that fits your schedule.
