J.L. Hirsch Grocery and Department Store
The J.L. Hirsch Company Grocery & Department Store is a family run business that is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2016. The front part of the store features a unique and tasteful variety of women’s clothing and accessories, along with a few other items such as stuffed animals and craft teas. The grocery has a nice variety of foodstuffs and the meat department is locally renowned. Items such as scales and cash registers, as well as antique fixtures, from the store’s first 100 years are on display throughout. Continue reading

The Red Wagon is a Posey County institution, and interstate off-ramp favorite for many traveling along I-64. The Red Wagon Menu features made-from-scratch, home cooking and Cajun food. In addition to traditional Midwest dishes such as roast beef and fried chicken, more exotic fare such as Fried Cornish Game Hen, Bayou Style Stew, and home-style Bayou Shrimp are also available.
