Mount Vernon’s 3 Chicks Fudgery has quickly become a treasured local institution. It’s a great place to satisfy your sweet tooth, get a party tray for an important event, or buy a great gift for that special occasion.
“We make our fudge the old-fashioned way, with real cream and butter,” says owner and third generation fudge maker Rachel Rainey. ”That makes our fudges rich, creamy and smooth. We have over twenty flavors, from old favorites to recipes you just don’t find everywhere. A current favorite is our Dark Chocolate Caramel Sea Salt Fudge.”
Rachel’s grandmother started the tradition, making fudge to sell in the gift shop of their apple orchard. Her mother continued the tradition, and Rachel carries on with her lovely little shop in Mount Vernon.
In addition to fudge, 3 Chicks things that go well with fudge, such as cider mixes, hot chocolates, fresh ground coffee, and old style candies, as well as gift wrapped fudge boxes.
