Women’s Institute and Gallery owner and curator Lena Feiner was lured to New Harmony by its impressive history, especially its place as an early pioneer in women’s suffrage.
“As I came to know its history,” she says, “I realized New Harmony was an ideal place for a business that emphasizes women’s rights.”
2015 was its 15th year of operation and included the gallery’s 81st exhibit. It also offers occasional poetry and literary events, and Lena leads a Jungian studies circle.
The Gallery includes a very nice, eclectic gift shop.
Located in a scenic residential area on the north side of town, it’s well worth adding a visit to the Women’s Institute and Gallery to your itinerary.
